George Robert Lattin

ALEDO, Texas -- George Robert Lattin, 75, a retired Air Force pilot, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006.

   Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday at Winscott Road Funeral Chapel, 1001 Winscott Road. Inturnment: 1 p.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Lane A, Dallas.

   A native of Huntington, W.Va., George was a Fort Worth resident for over 30 years. He was born July 6, 1931, and enlisted in the Air Force in July 1948. George retired from the Air Force in 1970 as a major with 22 years of service and 10,000 flying hours as a pilot. His military awards include the Silver Star, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, 12 Air Medals, three Commendation Medals and many other service ribbons and awards.

   After retirement, George was a salesman and sales manager for Pitney Bowes until retiring in 1989.

   George married the former Ora Kaye Flowers of Laurel, Miss., in 1956 and they served in the Air Force together in Washington, Japan, Florida, Georgia and Delaware before retiring.

   Preceding George in death were his mother, Anna Browning Lattin; father, Charles Jefferson Lattin; and one son, Kenneth Wayne Lattin.

   Survivors: Loving wife of 50 years, O. Kaye Lattin; brother, Charles J. Lattin Jr. and his wife, Marianne; sons, David Lattin and his wife, Gloria, Robert "Mark" Lattin and Scott Lattin and his wife, Cinderella; grandsons, Robert Matthew, Scott Browning Jr., Justin, Jason, Joshua and Fillipe; granddaughters, Ashli Elaine, Auriel, Shana, Stephanie and Julianna; great-grandchildren, Adrian, Mary Kaye, and Sage; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews
