Background
Originally established as Detachment 1 of the 619th TCS on April
8, 1964, PANAMA Control was then located at Danang Airfield. Detachment 1
became the 620th Tactical Control Squadron on December 23, 1965. The date
and circumstances of the move to Monkey Mountain are currently unknown to the
webmaster.
