Hon Tre Island Photos

View from the LCU

The following pictures assist the reader of my narrative located elsewhere on the 505th TCG Web Page to better visualize the surroundings.  This first picture shows the road which went from the bottom where the cantonment area was to the top where the radar facility was. If you look very carefully at the peak which is partially blocking the top you will see some radio towers.  Those belong to the Army's 228th Signal Company provided the radio and TV signal for a large area surrounding Nha Trang.  You can also barely see the radar facility at the top.  The trip to Hon Tre was made on an LCU and it would beach at the water's edge in the foreground.
